I shall tell the truth,
The whole truth
And nothing but the truth
I am a victim, to the error of circumstance
In the wrong place at the wrong time I was when love took its chance
Love came to me, unrequited, well disguised and unexpected
In my days of loneliness, this love stalked my soul
And in my night of isolation love took control
True I heard love’s footsteps behind my back
But by the time I turned around love had launched its attack
Although I tried to fight, love, was strong it overpowered me,
And I fell down, my feet froze, my tongue, tied
My heart trembled when love got inside
It sought me out can’t you see
In my lonesome innocence love preyed on me
Now, my soul longs, my heart bleeds, my eyes are tearful oceans
Hence I plead, love?
It’s infectious, don’t set it free
Love it’s guilty
Your honor, love, raped, me
So please, somebody arrest love!
