HE CONQUERED ME!

He conquered me!
He broke down my barriers and entered
He conquered me!
Then all of my principles were rendered
Defeated I’ve been defeated within
The quake of my body
Drenched by the tears of my soul
And battle cries of my ideas
Which in one moment unfold though untold?
He conquered me!
Because he silenced my boastings when he twisted my tongue
The air of his presence has left me spell bound
He conquered me!
With few words and no drinkable wine
For, Experience and naivety at one table did dine
When dessert came only one had pleasure
For conquering is was the conqueror’s leisure
My treasure, in his leisure, was pleasure
And if time had limits his use of it bore no measure
When he conquered me!
Can this defeat last forever?
