LOVED DISASTER

My morning glory; my midnight solace
Sweet constant memory; concealed deep bliss
Most beautiful idol; stronghold of my heart
Loving you like I’ve loved you
Has torn me apart
From purpose, from destiny
From potential, of what can be
Dear Faithful,
Doubled minded affection
A greater lover than you
Now demands my attention
His arms hold firmly, my purpose and destiny
His eyes gaze upon me steadfastly
His ears listen, even to my silent cries
His voice responds to my whispers of why
He knows my beginning and my end
And no idol can compare to Christ,
Who is my new lover and friend
So you old morning glory; and old midnight solace
Sweet-sour memory; confessed deep bliss
Most disdained idol; once stronghold of my heart
I am free from your love disaster
Because I refuse to love you now,
Like I loved you
When I woke up this morning
And I refuse to love you now,
Like I loved you
When I went to bed last night
You are evicted sincerely,
From the throne of my life,
The depths of my heart,
And each thought on my mind
For, I have found me a new Lover
And you are encroaching on His space
