TITLES

 There is a mismatch

that takes place in society

when those Titles

we revere most

are worn wrongfully

and those written in blood

with no connection

are esteemed

rather than

served rejection

these Titles lauded

with innate expectations

are too often loathed weapons

of great deceptions

Ironic recommendations

 worthless words

of  condemnation

By those said persons

with  whom

There is no connection

But, for those titles

and their inflection

Fathers -that never fathered

Friends- that pretend

Neighbors- only of deception

Employers- of subtlety and  lies

And Lovers -that wipe away all smiles

Titles that demand honor

Titles that tell of loyalty

Titles that showcase intimacy

Titles that lie

And behind these titles

There are those who are not entitled

At all

But  bravely wear them

Wrongfully

In a blame game

In a quest for fame

In a plot to destroy

Another's name

Titled  expectations

worn proudly

with camouflaged realities

Names

with implied responsibility

and Power

to obscure what others see

Some sort of

Label-like Supremacy

To destroy,to hurt,to obstruct,to rob,to malign

with Titles

Not facts

Those Persons

Who understand only too well

why

They can never,ever relate, Them

To the titles they carry
