BABY ONBOARD

In this trimester of expectation
Along these barrages and fears
We put the horse before the carriage

Then use shades to hide our tears

Belly full, and angst of protest
Ornella Greaves at the frontline
Of a war she never started

Is all injustice still a crime?

This precious life and life within her
On a Highway for a cause
Have been aborted, by artillery

Blank shells, of unjust laws

Blind shots with no identity
Blind visions,void of empathy
Fueled riots, challenged destiny

And decades of National Infidelity

To this baby onboard
Who has never seen
the light of day...
