RUBBLE

Barriers and bridges

have a unique way 

of standing between

rivers,roadways,highways

and people

Concepts and notions

have a queer way 

of standing between

races, classes, ages

and progress

A  bridge 

fell down over decades

and created 

a barrier 

to passage 

and progress

classism,racism

public spending 

with no transparency

and injustice 

without redress

Now  silent actors

toss rocks to fortify

the Beetham barrier

which spans T&T

and obstructs highways 

to advancement

and productivity

but Beetham barriers

and Broken Bridges

share one commonality
