Her eyes bleed
As she confronts life’s mountain
Too tired to envision her victory
Her mind races
as thoughts of defeat cross
all of her optimism away
Her heart shakes
as doubts like fountains
sprout over all possibilities hope
Her feet stumble
Under the weights of yesterday
And untouched ground of happiness
And so she seeks
Words Of light and vigor
To spur her on her journey
and off this lost trail
