MY EVIL TWIN

Every human being carries deep within
A seemingly friendly foe, a parasitic twin
This lifelong companion, which initially goes unseen
Is  but a frivolous foe, which on human host is weaned

No surgery can remove him, for if you kill him, you’ll be slain
It is hard to live with him though, he always spoils the game
So you color him with dyes, then you cover him with clothes,
You even hide him in your make up, but one day you, he will expose

Just in the exchange of words you were once crowned King
Now two  eras down the road, a newer jargon sings
When voice breaks and strands of hair turn silver
And Oh those sappy sagging things just linger

Where breast once perked they now just rest
When waking moments become less and less
And dysfunctional organs once so strong
Begin to show you up ,begin to let you down

When all those  wrinkled smiles cover your face
Then you realize that you have lost this race
For a hostile takeover of your body was waged
By your very own parasitic twin -Age.
